The Town's annual budget is developed to ensure that all services to our citizens, businesses and visitors are maintained, while preserving the Town’s long-term financial health. The Town prepares an annual budget with the fiscal year beginning on January 1 and ending on December 31.

The total 2012 budget for the Town is $55,410,800. This includes:

• $35.9 million in the General Fund (the Town’s primary operating fund)
• $8 million for culture, parks and recreation
• $5.8 million in streets capital projects
• $10.9 million for public safety
