The Parker Police Department provides exemplary, year-round, 24-hour service to citizens of the Town of Parker and adheres to the highest standards of ethical behavior. The Department's primary objective is to provide a safe community environment in Parker with the highest level of service possible. The organization is committed to safeguarding the community that makes Parker a great place to live, work and play.
As of June 2009, the department has 58 sworn officers. The police workforce also includes 32 full- or part-time civilian personnel.
Responsibilities
Parker Police officers take on widely diverse challenges and responsibilities every day. The Police Department proudly serves a growing community. The Town's Core Values of Teamwork, Commitment to Quality Service, Integrity and Innovation guide the department in its daily operations and service to the community.
Community Policing
The Police Department plays an active role in community support activities, such as National Night Out Against Crime and youth educational programs.
Under the philosophy of community policing, police officers are encouraged to get out of their cars, get to know the people in the community, build trust and problem-solving partnerships with community members and work to improve the quality of life in Parker.
The Police Department takes pride in educating area businesses by offering crime prevention tips, security assessments, involvement in grand openings and attendance at special events. Officers conduct foot patrols and regularly communicate with businesses to build partnerships and offer assistance.
