The goal of the Town of Parker Snow and Ice Control Policy is to provide a safe and accessible transportation system during inclement weather and winter storm events. In order to provide for efficient and effective snow plowing and anti-icing operations, the Town of Parker has established a priority system for snow operations.
Because the Town has more than 600 lane miles of road, the Public Works Department set priorities depending upon traffic movement and safety, emergency response, budget allocations, special community needs and snowfall levels. Our first priority is arterial roadways. These streets provide a minimum transportation network that must be kept open for emergency services.
