Permits

Overview

The Department of Engineering/Public Works issues all construction permits and grading permits (excluding building permits) for the construction of public infrastructure within the Town. The following permits are required when working within the Town’s Right-of-Way (R.O.W.) or as defined in the Roadway Design and Construction (PDF) and the Storm Drainage and Environmental Criteria (PDF) Manuals.

Access Permits

Access permits (PDF) are required for any new developments requiring access on Town-owned roadways. Access permits are administered through the Department of Engineering/Public Works, with technical reviews and inspections performed by the Engineering Services staff.

Floodplain Permits

Floodplain Permits (PDF) are required for any construction within the designated floodplain.

Grading Permits

Grading permits are required for all projects that include earth movement or significant land disturbances within the Town of Parker. The permit is necessary to ensure Construction Best Management Practices (BMPs) have been appropriately planned for a project prior to the start of construction activities. Permits are administered through the Department of Engineering/Public Works, with the technical reviews and inspections performed by the Stormwater Utility Staff. Grading Permits are now handled through the Town’s online system, eTRAKiT. Note: Contractors must register with the Department of Engineering/Public Works and log into the site as a Contractor.

Any public infrastructure or storm sewer proposed to be constructed under a grading permit is subject to the Town’s infrastructure inspection fees.  If applicable, a payment covering the majority of these fees is required to be paid prior to the issuance of a grading permit.  Applicants should complete this inspection fee calculator sheet and upload it with the permit application for review.  

Oversized / Overweight Moving Permits

This permit (PDF) is required when moving any oversized / overweight load within the Town of Parker. To submit a request, please log into eTRAKIT.

Residential Sidewalk - Curb Chase Drain Installation Permits

Chase Drain Permits and applicable fees can be submitted to the Town for review for managing nuisance water on sidewalks. Before submitting the application form, please read the important troubleshooting facts (PDF) and information related to excessive water, ice and algae growth concerns. To submit a request, please log into eTRAKiT.*

Right-of-Way Permits

Right-of-Way Use Permits  are required for all construction or alteration to take place within the Town of Parker public right of way. This permit is necessary to ensure that all construction or alteration within the Town of Parker Right-of-Way is performed in compliance with Town of Parker standards. Right-of-Way Use Permits are administered through the Engineering Services Division, with technical reviews and inspections performed by the Engineering/Public Works Staff. Right-of-Ways Use Permits are now handled through the Town’s online system, eTRAKiT.*

Street Light Banner Permits

Street Light Banner Permits are used to advertise events in the Town with banners.

Street Occupancy Permits

Street Occupancy Permits (PDF) are required to place items, including but not limited to landscape materials, storage containers, dumpsters and construction trailers in the Town of Parker Right-of-Way for more than 24 hours. To submit a Permit, please log into eTRAKit.

Temporary Access Permits

Temporary Access Permits (PDF) are issued in order to provide access in and out of public R.O.W. associated with non-construction (events), construction and/or landscaping. The permittee is required to provide a Detailed Traffic Control Plan for the proposed temporary access. Pictures are required of any existing damage to streets, curbs, gutters and/or sidewalks prior to issuance of this permit. Any damage not identified prior to issuance of said permit shall be the permittee’s responsibility.
