Please be advised that the Town of Parker Planning Division(s) have modified their services including requests for meetings as a result of the Town’s declaration of a Local Emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and previously declared State and Federal emergencies. The Parker Planning Division(s) are taking additional precautions to provide for recommended social spacing and reduce interaction between the public and staff by not holding meetings with applicants, project representatives and residents considering projects while the Local Emergency is in place. This is a temporary change in the Town’s development process that is intended to protect the health of residents, staff, applicants and their representatives.
The Planning Division(s) staff will review requests for meetings regularly and contact applicants and their project representatives to discuss the need for the meeting and alternative arrangements. If there is a known or suspected COVID-19 exposure, staff will work with the applicant and their representative to schedule the meeting for a future date or make alternative arrangements. These alternative arrangements may include conference calls, email correspondence or virtual meetings. The site inspection season typically begins in May, however, the Planning Division(s) will exercise appropriate caution in scheduling and performing inspections if requested in March and April. We ask that all applicants and their representatives work with us to communicate known or suspected illnesses to reduce the potential for community spread of COVID-19 and ensure the continued health of residents, staff and the public. Finally, please be advised that Planning Commission meetings and required public hearings for development applications may be affected as the Town implements the Local Emergency declaration and responds to public health concerns.
During the Local Emergency, the Planning Division(s) will be open for business from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. even though Town Hall is closed to the public. The Division(s) staff will continue to answer phones, respond to emails, process permit applications through eTRAKiT, review plans and work to ensure that all proposals for development comply with the Municipal Code. All applicants and/or project representatives may pay required application fees by mailing a check or cash to: Town of Parker, Planning Division(s), 20120 E. Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80138-7335. Payment may also be made by credit card through an applicant’s and/or project representative’s eTRAKiT account via the Town website.
We appreciate your patience and understanding of the Parker Planning Division(s) modified services and revised process for meetings and inspections during this public health emergency. Please contact our offices at 303.841.3223 with any questions or if you wish to speak with staff. You may also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you and please stay healthy!
