As a homeowner, are you having trouble getting started with your Do-It-Yourself Project (decks, basements, covers, etc…)? Give the Building Division a call to set up meeting to help you work through the permitting system and get you started on the right path. The possibility of walking out the door with your permit in hand is the goal of our new program, EZ Permits.
Meetings with the Building Division staff are available by appointment only and will be scheduled every Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to noon for 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the scope of work. We will email or fax you a short form to fill out prior to the meeting that will allow us time to gather additional information for your specific project. To schedule an appointment, email us or call 303.841.1970.
These classes provide homeowners an opportunity to learn and ask building, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical related questions. Bring your specific questions along with note taking material because other projects may be discussed and can be helpful information for future projects. Typical discussion topics include decks, basements, patio covers, kitchen/bath remodels, additions, etc....
Building Division staff will take you through the permit process, explain fees and discuss required inspections.
Due to room capacity limits at Town Hall with concerns to COVID-19, this class will have a limit of eight participants, which will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call 303.841.1970 to reserve a spot.
2021 Class Dates and Times: 5:30-7:30pm
If you have any questions or would like more information, please call 303.841.1970 or email us. We hope to see you there.
