Town Q&A is a compilation of questions received by the Town of Parker across its social media accounts from the previous month. Have a question to ask about the Town or Town operations? Send your questions to Town of Parker Digital Marketing Coordinator Ryne Dittmer at rdittmer@parkeronline.org to be answered in a future Town Q&A post.
Why is the Town constructing Kings Point Way before Aurora Parkway is built?
In 2017, the Town entered into the Highlands at Kings Point annexation agreement. That agreement included requirements for the Town to construct Kings Point Way when certain development milestones were attained. Those milestones have been reached, and the Town is now preparing to begin the construction process to meet the contractual obligation. With work beginning in August, Kings Point Way construction is scheduled to be finished in early summer 2020.
The developer of Kings Point in Aurora anticipates construction of Aurora Parkway to also be completed in 2020.

Where can I find updates and information about the My Mainstreet Project?
During the first phase of the My Mainstreet Project in 2018, the Town of Parker and P3 – Partnering for Parker’s Progress worked with the Parker community to get feedback to help us create a Strategic Framework for future development in Downtown Parker.
With the conclusion of that part of the process, we have moved into our next phase: Implementation. Details about this phase of the project, along with FAQs on My Mainstreet and the involved downtown properties, related documents, project timeline, and a Q&A section where you may ask your questions can be found on the My Mainstreet Project page on Let’s Talk Parker.
