As Parker’s Mayor, I am pleased to announce that the Town is
entering 2021 with a renewed focus on economic development and the important
role that it plays in the success of Parker’s economy.
Heading up this effort will be Bo Martinez, who was hired in
February as Parker’s new Deputy Town Administrator/Economic Development Director.
Bo will champion and lead Parker’s long-term, comprehensive economic
development strategy and implementation. In addition, he will work in
partnership with our Town Administrator to provide leadership, vision and
strategic direction for the Town of Parker and oversee the Town’s Cultural,
Human Resources and Parks and Recreation Departments.
One of the goals of Parker’s Town Council is to help foster
a meaningful economic development program that partners local government with
private sector and community organizations to build a stronger base for both
small and large business. Bo has proven successful in cultivating these types
of partnerships in his previous roles, and we look forward to seeing the great things
he can do for Parker’s business community.
Bo previously served as President/CEO of the Adams County
(Colo.) Regional Economic Partnership, where he worked to support inclusive
economic growth and job creation while promoting Adams County and the Denver metro
north region as a leading global location for business. Prior to his work in
Adams County, he served as Director of Economic Development for both the City
of Miami Beach (Fla.) and the County of Broomfield (Colo.), Economic
Development Administrator for the City and County of Denver (Colo.) and
Economic Development Manager for the City of Phoenix (Ariz.). He holds a
master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Colorado
and was recognized as one of North America’s Top-50 Economic Developers in 2019
by leading national economic development firm Consultant Connect.
Welcome to our team, Bo! We are excited to see your impact
on Parker’s business community in the coming months!
