Please take this opportunity to celebrate and support our business community, in particular those that have gone to the additional work of applying for and receiving COVID Best Practices Certification.
The last year has been hard, and I know we still have challenges ahead of us. However, I am so proud of all of our businesses that stepped up to ensure they met the high standards of the certification program, which in turn allowed them to operate at a higher occupancy and keep their businesses moving forward in an efficient and sustainable manner.
This voluntary program enables businesses who meet the necessary criteria and obtain certification to operate at a higher capacity, while ensuring compliance with COVID-19 transmission controls and best practices to help reduce virus spread in our community. This program was created in collaboration with and with the support of Douglas County, Tri-County Health Department, local hospitals, business community leadership, law enforcement and Douglas County municipalities, including the Town of Parker.
As the State of Colorado and our community continue to safely reopen and move toward a new normal, we look forward to partnering with our local business agencies to continue to support and promote our Parker businesses.
