Honey Festival Aug. 6:
Mark your calendars for Sunday, Aug. 6 when the Honey Festival makes its buzzworthy return. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at O’Brien Park, visitors can indulge in a fun-filled event aimed at raising awareness and appreciation for the honeybee through an array of educational and entertaining activities.
In addition to bee-related vendors and experts, attendees can look forward to a kids corner, music performances and artistic displays.

H20 Glow Swim Aug. 11:
Let’s glow! Light up the night with an after-hours, glow-in-the-dark pool party at H2O’Brien Pool. Grab your glow gear, enjoy party music, play pool deck games and hang out with friends. Space is limited so register early!
All swimming abilities welcome. Each child 5 and under and non-swimmers must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the water. Children 10 and older, that can swim, may attend without an adult.

Fall Program Registration Open:
Although it’s still summer, several fall (and even some winter) camps, classes and programs open registration in August.

Parker Youth Commission Seeking Applicants:
Parker-area students in grades 9 to 12 are invited to get involved and give back to the community by serving on the Parker Youth Commission. Members of this group will:
• Be part of Parker’s newest advisory board
• Speak to Town Council on issues important to Parker teens
• Organize and take part in activities, service projects, events and functions
• Develop recognition programs
This Commission consists of nine members appointed for two-year terms. Applications will be accepted through Sept. 15 for one open position. Learn more and complete an application on the Youth Commission webpage.
Monthly Public Meeting Dates:
Parker Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Mondays, Aug. 7 and 21. The Council will hold study sessions at 4 p.m. Mondays, Aug. 14 and 28.
Parker Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Thursdays, Aug. 10 and 24.
Parker Special Licensing Authority will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17.
