KTP-Day

On May 19, 2018,  children and families nationwide, including here in Parker, will take part in the 8th annual National Park Trust Kids to Parks Day. Kids to Parks Day, an initiative of the
National Park Trust, is held the third Saturday in May each year to connect kids and families with their local, state and national parks.

By discovering public lands, kids across the country are able to learn about park stewardship, outdoor recreation, STEM and history.

Mayor Mike Waid recently proclaimed Kids to Parks Day in Parker and encourages the community to participate by exploring one of the many beautiful parks around Town.

This year, Parker Parks and Recreation is asking you to share your photos of your participation with Kids to Parks day. Post your photos to the Parker Parks and Recreation Facebook and/or Instagram pages with #ParkerKidsToParksDay on May 19 for a chance to win a Parks and Recreation water bottle. Three photos will be randomly selected to win.

Get to know each of Parker Parks and Recreation's public parks here and we'll see you outside May 19 to celebrate this national day of outdoor play!
