A new traffic signal is coming soon to the intersection of Canterberry Parkway and Idyllwilde Drive. The signal is being added after reaching federal traffic requirements that necessitate intersection signals.
The Town signed a contract for this quarter-million-dollar capital improvement project in June following competitive bidding. The underground infrastructure at the intersection was completed in August by Paonia, Inc. of Colorado Springs.
The new signal poles have a manufacturing lead time of more than 20 weeks, so the signal is tentatively scheduled to be operational at the end of the year if all goes as planned.
