Updated March 23
With updated recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Order, the Parker Recreation Center and Parker Fieldhouse will remain closed through April 30, in an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). This facility closure includes indoor programs and facility rentals. In addition to facility closures, the Order limits gatherings of 10 or more people, which would include our outdoor sports leagues/programs and outdoor rentals, and those will remain canceled through April 17. During this time, we will be constantly monitoring the situation and our current re-opening plan.
With the Stay-at-Home Order Issued by the State of Colorado, playgrounds, tennis and pickleball courts, basketball courts, Railbender Skate Park, ball fields, picnic areas, and other similar areas conducive to public gathering are closed until further notice. For purposes of outdoor activity, public parks and trails will remain open, including USMC CPL David M. Sonka Dog Park, which will be monitored for excessive gathering. Practice physical distancing -- keep six feet or more from other individuals, avoid high-touch surfaces, and use provided hand washing stations, as available.
Where possible, we will seek to reschedule programs and rentals, but this may take some time to finalize. Affected memberships have been adjusted accordingly, if you have any questions, please contact the Membership Team at membership@parkeronline.org. Over the next several days, we plan to email affected program registrants and renters; please continue to check your email, our website (www.ParkerRec.com), mobile app (www.ParkerRec.com/MobileApp) and social media (www.Facebook.com/ParkerRec) for updates. We appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding and support as we work through this process.
During the closure, staff will be returning voicemails and emails and accepting online registrations. For the latest Town of Parker organizational updates, refer to www.ParkerOnline.org/Coronavirus.
