Ready or not, winter weather is on the horizon. Review the Town of Parker’s snow and ice control policy and access snow-related resources with the roundup below.
The goal of the Town of Parker’s Snow Plowing and Ice Control Policy is to provide a safe and accessible transportation system during inclement weather and winter storm events. In order to provide for efficient and effective snow plowing and de-icing operations, the Town of Parker has established a priority system for snow operations for the Town’s more than 500 lane miles of road.
The top priority for snow operations are arterial streets. Once these main roadways are cleared, the second priority for snow clearing is collector streets. Snow crews will plow local residential roads only after six (6) or more inches of snow has accumulated and snow continues to fall.
In addition, please remember to shovel any sidewalks located on your property following a snow event. Per the Town's Municipal Code, property owners must clear all snow and ice from sidewalks within 48 hours after snow stops falling.
