The Fieldhouse Day Camp finished its second summer season on a high note after maintaining approximately 85 percent capacity among campers on a daily basis.
Camp Director, Cathy Berends attributes many of the camps successes to her exceptional team of counselors who are with the kids on a daily basis. “My counselors absolutely love working with kids and are excited to come to work each day and share their ideas for new and different activities and games to keep the kids active and engaged.” Berends also added, “Kids go home tired each night and can’t wait to return the next morning.” A wide variety of excursions also kept kids entertained while at camp, including a trip to see the Colorado Rockies baseball game, a fun-filled day at Water World, Elitch Gardens and many other visits to Denver area attractions.
The Fieldhouse Day Camp is a year-round program held Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Parker Fieldhouse. Campers go on one field trip per week on Wednesdays and go swimming at the Parker Recreation Center pool on Friday’s. Fall plans include activities sponsored by the Parker Cultural Commission, Pumpkin Patch and Halloween festivities in October, and a week of Safety with visits to Fire, Police and K-9 Unit. Local excursions will include trips to local Parker businesses and restaurants.
A single low fee covers a full day at camp. For $35 per child on a regular day and $45 and up depending on the excursion on Wednesdays, this economic-friendly camp is a terrific option for your kids to stay active when they’re off-track or on a school break.
