Bryce Matthews graduated from Metropolitan State College with a bachelor’s degree in Land Use in 1994 and received his American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) designation in 1999.  Bryce has worked in a variety of planning positions with a number of Colorado jurisdictions including Grand County, Jefferson County and the City of Black Hawk.  After working for Black Hawk, Bryce was self-employed as a consultant helping property owners and developers through the development process and helping small jurisdictions plan for future growth. Bryce’s largest clients were telecommunication companies.


After the telecommunications business met with cutbacks, Bryce was hired by the Eastern Maine Development Corporation to manage the Midcoast Maine Regional Planning Commission. In this position, Bryce worked for 32 small towns in coastal Maine on Comprehensive Plans and coordinating regional planning initiatives. 


Bryce has worked for the Town of Parker for over 16 years and is currently the Planning Manager within the Community Development Department. In his time away from work, Bryce enjoys kayaking, hiking, snowboarding and traveling with his wife Rhonda and his two daughters.
